Qingxuan Miaoyan Elixir is a time-honored herbal sachet passed down through the Dulong Acupuncture lineage, rooted in the ancient Dragon Gate Herbal Compendium. According to legend, during a deadly plague in southern China, the Grandmaster of the Dulong tradition received this formula in a dream from Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun, the Daoist deity of healing and protection.
In the vision, the Grandmaster was guided to the celestial Miaoyan Temple, where the deity appeared in blue robes, seated upon a nine-colored lotus. He bestowed a remedy—a fragrant herbal blend meant to be worn on the body to shield against epidemic illness. Upon waking, the Grandmaster crafted the sachets as instructed. Over time, illness declined, and no new infections emerged. To honor the dream and its divine origin, he named the formula Qingxuan Miaoyan Elixir, meaning “the mystical refinement bestowed by the Azure Immortal.”
